Large Flat (non gusseted) Spawn Bags, #23 Filter

Very strong, yet slightly cloudy, autoclavable flat bag (non gusseted) with #23 filter patch. Bags are used primarily for Shiitake, Maitake and other sawdust block production. Can be used for spawn production as well. Bag can NOT be pre-sealed, however this is the perfect bag for Shiitake and Maitake block production, and is used exclusively by many growers in the Pacific Northwest. These bags Measure: 19" high * 13" wide and are made from very strong autoclaveable HDPE, nominal 2.5 mil in thickness. #23 Filter. Hint on usage of these bags: When making sawdust blocks, push in the bottom corners. This simulates the way a gusset works to make the block square in shape and helps keep the block standing up.
